My 8 year old son has been having drumming lessons with Tim for 18 months. He has made fantastic progress and absolutely loves his weekly lesson. Tim is a fantastic teacher. He is always patient and encouraging. I have seen my son’s confidence grow in many areas since starting his lessons. If you are looking for drumming tuition, I would highly recommend Tim. Tim has an easy going and relaxed attitude when teaching, bringing the student along at a good pace without ever seeming to bring any pressure. I’ve been playing drums for over 45 years and played in local bands in my younger days. I wanted to learn Steve Gadd’s famous solo from the Steely Dan track Aja but knew it was beyond my limited technique. After a year with Tim, he got me to a point where I could make a fair attempt and has also helped me develop my weaker hand, another of my personal goals. Tim is a highly accomplished musician with a genuine passion for all things drums. He has breadth of knowledge of a wide range of styles which he can demonstrate and apply practically. He has an easy going style, is patient and understanding and this along with his command of the rudiments make him an exceptional teacher. I look forward to my lessons with Tim and have no hesitation in recommending him. I only wish that I’d been able to find someone like him when I was starting out on the drums.

Tim is a fantastic drum tutor, he has been my sons drumming teacher for a few years and now my daughters too. My son has passed his first grading with merit, and Tim helped every step of the way. Excellent tuition provided by Tim for my daughter for the last couple of years. Paced to her level and always looking to find music for her rather than forcing a standard playlist. During lockdown provided recorded sessions tailored for her. Would definitely recommend.

I would highly recommend Tim for drum tuition. Tim teaches my 9 year old son once a week and he is always kind, patient and very engaging. Tristan loves his lessons and is inspired by Tim. Tim joins us at a chaotic time in our family home in the evenings but it amazingly professional and able to work around our usual family chaos.
