I purchased SAFETRIP travel insurance with UnitedHealthcare Global. It turns out that when I arrived in my destination country I got COVID, so I called SAFETRIP customer service, and they initially told me that they would pay the hospital where I was going to be checked. It turns out that since they apparently could not contact him, they told me to pay the expenses, and to later make the refund request. They sent me a form to fill out, and I attached all the evidence, additional to the expenses, among them they asked me for airline tickets, their reservation codes, invoice for the air tickets, in short, everything that justifies that I was actually in the country of visit. It turns out that after calling for almost 2 weeks looking for answers to my return, they sent me an email indicating that my return is not applicable, since the travel insurance I took is based on my personal insurance in my country of residence. Something as unusual as this. I wonder, if I had travel medical insurance with my company in my country, why would I have to pay extra insurance? It doesn't make sense, however finally, they never answered my emails again, until I gave up the claim. I paid, or rather gave to United Healthcare Global and its SAFETRIP travel insurance, $130.11 USD which was of no use, since my medical care at the hospital in the destination country cost me $459.55 USD. Do not purchase travel insurance with this company. They will lose their money.
