Amazing GP practice! Reception staff always helpful and availability of the GPs, either for a phone consult or in person, has always been excellent. Thank you

Excellent service from reception through to clinical staff and dispensary team. Visited pharmacist first to avoid taking GP time but was directed to the GP. reception sent me a link, I uploaded the photos of the problem and the GP later rang back, diagnosed the problem and prescribed antibiotics ready for collection 2hours later.
It could not have been easier. As always the team are working hard and if you treat them with respect and humanity they always do the same back.
Thank you all.

I'd give 0 if I could. Absolute joke of a reception team ring up at 8.30 for an appointment on the day to be told they don't class what's wrong as serious when it is. This surgery needs to sort itself out. Used to be great

I can't praise the doctors and staff enough. So caring, helpful and cheerful.
We are so fortunate to have them in our lives.

I appreciate that the NHS is on its knees
the procedures are sometimes wrong and involve the wrong departments being called because the right questions werent asked
I'll say that having the GP leave the answering machine message rather than a receptionist shows. another local NHS foundation trust has the receptionist record the message, and the "I couldnt give a...about this and I'm brawling through the sound of my own voice on minimum wage" shows

Really kind GP and other surgery staff, very helpful receptionists. Sometimes can be a wait to get through on the phone, but really feel they are trying their best, in challenging circumstances. Very grateful to everyone for their hard work.

I cannot praise this practice highly enough. I am a newcomer and here is my experience of this exceptional practice.
The receptionists :
I have had dealings with Anne, Rachel and Heather. I cannot fault any of them. You are treated with absolute respect and kindness and in no way patronised or made to feel that you are wasting their time. There is a lovely friendly atmosphere amongst the receptionists immediately you walk into the waiting room.
The doctors:
I have had no trouble making an appointment and seeing a doctor quickly. My 8 month old grandson was staying and doctor Tangay saw him within the hour when I called. She was absolutely lovely and in no way made me feel we had wasted her time. Quite the opposite.
I have seen Dr Hughes and Dr Ajayi. Both have put me at my ease, been so thorough and attentive and have in no way hurried my appointments.
We are so fortunate to have such a friendly and compassionate practice in Mitcheldean. It is almost like walking back in time ... when doctors had time to treat each patient as an individual and not a number.
If I was to sum my experience up in one word, the word I would put on Mitcheldean Surgery door is 'Kindness'.
Thank you.

Always helpful, polite and understanding. Worked wonders for my family, all during covid too. Top GP practice, highly recommended.

Called needing help due to an emergency, was made too feel singled out even though I had never EVER left my medication on holiday before,I had to call various places in the resort to try and get them to call the GP surgery. I am not a person that pretends too loose medication. Steer clear of this surgery especially Dr Weiss. They are condescending and change things even with your express anxiety, PAIN and opinions. Was told I needed to take responsibility for my medication and take a 6hr round trip drive to get them. Very disappointed. Was told off like a little child and he said “I’m going to have to think about this” he then went on to tell me off like a little child ..... after a while he then refused to give me my medication. I’m on serious medication........I’m now having to go cold turkey tonight due to his refusal- my last words to him were ok BE IT ON YOUR HEADS!!!
When I made a formal complaint about him to the practice manager he shouted at me Down the phone and I had to ask him not too shout at me.
As punishment I have been put on daily medication(controlled drugs) and that he is refusing to prescribe my regular monthly medication.
I am very disappointed with this surgery and my Emotional and Physical well-being has been irreparably damaged.
